Every Highland Van is built at one shop in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, and there is none in Nevada. Las Vegas buyers fly in to collect the van, or ask for a quote on enclosed transport.
Built for hot days and cold desert nights
The desert runs hot by day and cold after dark, and a van out there needs an answer to both. Every build is insulated in the roof, the walls and the floor, and carries a Webasto diesel heater as standard.
For the heat, the Pro package adds RecPro air conditioning. Battery, solar, heat and water on every model are sized for long stays away from hookups.

Every camper van for sale on this page starts from one of three Sprinter layouts, each sold as Core or Pro. As a van builder, Highland Vans builds standard layouts rather than one-off customs, and each layout is a Class B RV. The price covers the complete vehicle, including the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter it is built on.

From Elk Grove Village to Las Vegas
Many of our owners are not local. We’re in Elk Grove Village, IL — 15 minutes from O’Hare — and many buyers fly in, do a full orientation walkthrough at the shop, and drive their van home as the first road trip. The drive home heads west across Iowa and Nebraska to Denver, over the Rockies and through Utah, then south past the red rock country around St. George into Nevada.
Trips from Las Vegas
Red Rock Canyon and Valley of Fire are close enough for an evening. Death Valley, Zion and the Grand Canyon are weekend trips, and a lot of the ground between them is dirt and sand, which is where the AWD Sprinter under every build earns its place.
The Parbat is built for weeks off-grid, with an interior shower cabin and the full tanked water system with hot water as standard.
Questions from Las Vegas buyers
Which package suits a desert summer?
Pro. It adds RecPro air conditioning, and on the Parbat the roof takes the air conditioner and a rooftop tent together. The Webasto diesel heater and the insulation are standard on Core and on Pro, for the nights.
Is there a Highland Vans showroom in Las Vegas?
No. There is one shop, in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, 15 minutes from O’Hare, and every van is designed, built and handed over there.
Can I see a van before I travel?
Start with a conversation on the contact page: an e-mail, a video call, or a visit to the shop. A video call covers the layouts, the options and the price before you book a flight, and the facility tour and the design centre visit are there when you come in.
Do I have to come back to Chicago for warranty work?
Not necessarily. Call us first: for covered repairs away from Chicago, we’ll pre-authorize a certified RV technician or marine electrician near you and pay for the approved work directly — no paying out of pocket and waiting on reimbursement. Because we build with open-architecture, standardized components, local techs can handle most jobs.
How long does a build take?
Two answers. If a van in our inventory matches the spec you want, it’s available for immediate purchase — ask what’s on the floor right now. If not, a typical build takes about three months from reserving your build slot, and we’ll confirm your delivery window when you reserve. Either way, because we build standard layouts rather than one-off customs, you’re not waiting in a year-long custom queue.
Does the price include the van itself?
Yes. Pricing on this page covers the complete vehicle — the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter high-roof chassis and the full Highland Vans conversion.
