Introducing the PARBAT

The Ultimate Family Sprinter 170 Conversion

Space meets uncompromising off-grid capability. Built on the extended Mercedes Sprinter 170 chassis, the Parbat is engineered for crews that need real room. Perfect for couples who want space to spread out, families of four, or grandparents sharing the road with grandchildren without giving up the go-anywhere capability that defines every Highland Vans build.

The Parbat’s floor plan uses every inch of the 170. Our proprietary Murphy bed system folds up against the wall to open the rear garage for bikes, skis, and gear — and folds down to a true RV queen with a 5” Roam Rest memory foam mattress. Beside the bed, a full-height pantry keeps a week of supplies organized, and next to it sits the Parbat’s signature feature: a genuine interior shower with a stainless steel enclosure and hot water on tap. Forward of the shower, lounge benches with under-seat storage gather everyone around the swivel Lagun table, while the passenger side carries a massive kitchen galley — deep stainless sink, induction cooktop, and a bank of soft-close drawers beneath full-length overhead cabinets, with a second set of overhead cabinets on the driver’s side above the lounge.

Manufactured with our aluminum-framed architecture and advanced four-season climate control, the Parbat carries 35 gallons of fresh water, rooftop solar, and up to 8.4 kWh of lithium power on every build. It’s the Highland van that never asks your crew to travel light.

Built for two. Ready for four. The Parbat comes standard as a 2-sit / 2-sleep van with lounge benches that maximize storage and hangout space. Need to bring the whole crew? Substitute RRE Global Smartseats for belted seating for four, and add the optional rooftop tent to sleep four — the Parbat’s 170” roof is the only one in our lineup that carries the tent and the air conditioner together. Configured at spec time, so the van fits the crew you actually travel with.

The Highland Vans Difference: Premium Materials. Unmatched Overlanding Capability.

Your peace of mind is our engineering standard. We utilize elite materials, precision manufacturing, and proven off-grid technologies to create a Sprinter campervan that outperforms the rest at this price point. Built to endure extreme environments, the Parbat guarantees uncompromised performance and true off-grid freedom for years to come.

Seating Options

The Parbat comes standard with a large custom-upholstered couch chaise that balances hidden storage against lounging comfort. Traveling with a bigger crew? RRE Global Smartseats replace the benches, so everyone rides belted. Multiple seating options are available, including scheel-mann seats as an upgrade and a fold-up-and-away bench.

Proprietary Split-Panel Murphy Bed

Our innovative Murphy bed system features an lightweight, two-piece design that makes transitioning between sleep and travel modes completely effortless. When secured in the upright position, it maximizes your open floor plan and grants unrestricted access to your gear garage; when folded down, it instantly provides a premium, expansive sleep sanctuary. Because the panels operate independently, you can easily stow just one side unlocking a brilliant hybrid configuration that perfectly balances comfortable lounging with heavy-duty hauling capability.

HPL Laminates & Baltic Birch

We craft the Parbat's interior using premium Baltic Birch plywood finished with High-Pressure Laminate (HPL), creating a beautiful yet highly functional living space. This marine-grade construction provides an exceptionally solid foundation that is highly resistant to scratches, moisture, and the intense vibrations of off-road travel. Beyond their rugged durability, these superior materials deliver a sleek, modern aesthetic that is effortlessly easy to wipe down and clean after a long day on the dusty trail.

Aluminum Construction

The bed frame and the overhead cabinets are framed in precision-bent sheet metal aluminum, which is where the weight and the loads are. These high-strength modules are lightweight and rigid, and they do not develop the squeaks, rattles, and shifts a wood frame picks up over a few thousand miles of washboard. Unlike wood or composite frames, aluminum will never rot, warp, or degrade over time.

Premium Off-Grid Appliances

We refuse to compromise on the vital systems that power your adventure, which is why we exclusively install elite components from industry-leading brands like Victron, Ecoflow, Lithionics, Webasto, and Isotemp. By utilizing only the most reputable, expedition-grade appliances on the market, we ensure your vehicle delivers ultimate reliability in the harshest environments. Furthermore, every premium component carries its own robust manufacturer warranty, providing an extra layer of uncompromising peace of mind wherever the trail takes you.

Luxurious Finishes

The Parbat's interior is elevated to a state of modern, high-end luxury through our meticulous selection of sophisticated finishes. By integrating seamless solid surface countertops, elegant wood grains, and harmonious premium fabrics, we create a refined environment that feels like a boutique sanctuary. This uncompromising attention to detail ensures your expedition vehicle is not just ruggedly capable on the outside, but exquisitely styled and exceptionally comfortable on the inside.

True 4-Season Climate Capability

To ensure absolute comfort in extreme environments, the Parbat is engineered with an advanced, multi-layer thermal architecture. We combine premium Thinsulate and rigid XPS paneling with an optional sound deadening package to create a highly efficient thermal barrier that regulates interior temperatures while drastically reducing road noise. When paired with our high-output HVAC systems, this comprehensive climate control strategy guarantees a refined, comfortable sanctuary whether you are chasing winter snow or navigating intense desert heat.

The Look of Adventure: A Refined Expedition Cabin.

The Parbat perfectly balances boutique luxury with uncompromising off-grid durability. We pair natural color palettes with lightweight, premium finishes to create a sophisticated environment on wheels. Every design element is backed by rugged engineering, ensuring your adventure campervan interior remains flawless after years of extreme travel. Parbat Upgrades and Add-Ons

No two owners load a van the same way. Every upgrade below can be added to a Parbat Core or a Parbat Pro build at the price shown, so the finished spec follows how you actually use the van.

Add battery and solar capacity for longer stretches off-grid. Add plumbing, a water heater or air conditioning for four-season use. Add racks, carriers, tires and suspension for the load you carry. A mark in the Core or Pro column means the upgrade is already part of that package.

If what you want is not on this list, tell us how you plan to use the van. We build bespoke conversions on the same chassis.

FAQ

Who is the Parbat built for?

The Parbat is our largest model, starting at $170,000. It’s designed for crews that need real room: couples who want space to spread out, families of four, or grandparents traveling with grandchildren.

The 170” wheelbase buys you what the smaller vans can’t offer — a full-height pantry, a genuine interior shower, and lounge seating that doesn’t double as anything else. If your trips are measured in weeks and your crew is more than two, this is the one.

How many people can sleep and travel in a Parbat?

Standard configuration is 2 sit / 2 sleep: a true RV queen Murphy bed and lounge benches built for storage and hangout space rather than belted travel.

Optionally, the Parbat goes to 4 sit / 4 sleep: RRE Global Smartseats replace the benches for belted seating for four, and the rooftop tent adds a second sleeping spot for two. Unlike our 144” models, the Parbat’s roof carries the tent and the air conditioner together — so sleeping four doesn’t cost you cool nights.

Multiple seating options are available, including pull-tested, ergonomic scheel-mann seats as an upgrade and a fold-up-and-away bench.

Does the Parbat really have an indoor shower?

Yes, and it’s standard on every Parbat, Core or Pro. The interior shower has a stainless steel enclosure with a camper mixer, fed by the 35-gallon fresh tank and Isotemp water heater, with a full-height pantry built into the same cabinet core.

There’s an exterior shower too, for muddy boots and sandy dogs before they come inside.

How does the toilet work?

Every Parbat comes standard with a Wrappon Sunny self-sealing dry-flush toilet housed in a full-height storage cabinet on heavy-duty slides. No black tank, no dump station.

What’s the difference between the Core and Pro packages?

Same two packages as every Highland Vans build: Core runs a 5 kWh EcoFlow system. Pro steps up to 8.4 kWh of Lithionics lithium with a full Victron system and dedicated alternator charging, plus the exterior package (suspension, KO3 tires on Method 701 wheels, Owl Vans gear) and air conditioning.

On the Parbat specifically, a lot of gear other builders reserve for top trims is standard on both packages: premium plumbing, hot water, and the interior shower.

The 8.4 kWh Lithionics upgrade is also available à la carte on a Core build.

How long can I stay off-grid in a Parbat?

Honest answer: it depends on weather, A/C use, and crew size.

Power-wise, the Core’s 5 kWh handles a long weekend of careful use; the Pro’s 8.4 kWh plus the 600W of solar runs about 3–4 days in good sun with normal cooking and modest A/C.

In practice, water is the real limit and power is not: running the engine puts charge back wherever you are parked, and topping up water means finding a fill station. The 35-gallon fresh / 28-gallon grey system lasts two travelers roughly 4–6 days with sensible shower use. Plan on shorter stretches with a family of four aboard.

What can I fit in the rear garage?

With the Murphy bed folded up, the garage swallows family-scale loads: bikes, skis and boots for four, camp chairs, crash pads, a dog crate.

The full-height pantry beside the bed keeps food and supplies out of the gear zone, so the garage stays a garage.

Can I daily-drive a Parbat?

It’s the biggest van we build, so be honest with yourself about parking. The 170 still drives like a Sprinter — AWD, car-like manners, huge mirrors.

It needs a long parking space and won’t fit most home garages (plan on 10 ft of clearance). Owners who daily-drive a Highland van usually pick the Aoraki; owners who pick the Parbat plan around the size and don’t look back.

Can I run a rooftop tent and air conditioning together?

Yes — the Parbat is the only Highland Vans model that fits both. The 170” roof is long enough for the rooftop tent and the low-profile A/C at the same time, so you don’t have to choose between a second sleep spot and cool nights.

On our 144” models it’s one or the other.

Parbat vs Aoraki — when should I step up?

The Parbat gives you a 170” chassis, an interior stainless shower with hot water, a full-height pantry, double bench seating (standard on Core), and a tent-plus-A/C roof.

Pick the Aoraki if it’s just two people and you need tight parking. Step up to the Parbat when your crew or your trips have outgrown a 144, or when you want the extra space and the interior shower.

Parbat vs Kinabalu — which family van?

The Kinabalu is our 144” family van with seats for four every day, parks anywhere, great as the household’s only vehicle. The Parbat is the trip van: more floor, the indoor shower, the pantry, and room to live aboard for weeks.

If the van’s main job is school runs with weekend trips, look at the Kinabalu; if the main job is the road, it’s the Parbat.
