Comprehensive Warranty
Built to Go Far. Backed to Go Farther.
The “Triple-Layer” Warranty
Every Highland Van rolls out of our Chicago facility with comprehensive, triple-layer protection so you can hit the road with total peace of mind.
- Mercedes-Benz Factory Warranty
Because we build exclusively on new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis, the foundation of your vehicle is covered by the legendary Mercedes-Benz factory warranty. Any chassis, engine, or drivetrain maintenance can be handled by hundreds of certified Mercedes-Benz commercial service centers nationwide.
- Highland Vans Conversion Warranty
We stand behind our craftsmanship. Every Highland Van build comes with a robust 3-Year / 36,000-Mile Warranty covering the conversion: our aluminum framing, proprietary Murphy bed system, cabinetry, and all in-house assembly.
- Premium Component Warranties
We don’t use cheap, white-labeled parts. The elite components powering your van carry their own substantial manufacturer warranties. For example, Victron Energy systems are backed by a 5-year warranty, and Lithionics batteries offer industry-leading longevity guarantees.

What does the conversion warranty cover?
Our 3-Year / 36,000-Mile Warranty covers everything we build and install: the aluminum framing, the Murphy bed system, cabinetry, and all in-house assembly and workmanship. The Sprinter chassis is covered separately by Mercedes-Benz, and major components (Victron, Lithionics, Webasto) carry their own manufacturer warranties — so every part of your van has a named party standing behind it. Not covered: normal wear items, damage from misuse or accidents, and unauthorized modifications — see the written warranty for full terms.
Warranty Questions
Is the warranty transferable if I sell my van?
No — our 3-Year / 36,000-Mile Warranty covers the original owner and doesn’t transfer on resale. A second owner isn’t left without coverage, though: the Mercedes-Benz factory warranty stays with the vehicle, and major component warranties (Victron, Lithionics, Webasto) follow each manufacturer’s own terms.
How do I file a warranty claim?
Contact our team to start a service request. Most issues get resolved fastest with a phone troubleshooting session first — our engineers will walk you through checks using your van’s onboard monitoring. If hardware needs attention, we’ll either schedule you at our Elk Grove Village shop or pre-authorize a qualified technician near you.
What does the Mercedes-Benz warranty cover?
Everything Mercedes built, serviceable at certified Mercedes-Benz van centers nationwide: a 3-year / 36,000-mile Basic Limited Warranty, a 5-year / 100,000-mile Powertrain Warranty, a 5-year / 100,000-mile Diesel Engine Limited Warranty, and a 5-year / 100,000-mile Corrosion and Outer-Body Warranty on the chassis. Your conversion never affects where you can take the chassis for service.
Ask what is covered, before you order
The written warranty is the document that governs, and the answer above says to read it for full terms. That is the right order: read what is covered here, then read the exclusions there, then ask us about anything the two do not settle.
What happens when something needs attention a long way from Chicago is a separate question, and it has its own answer on the service page.
