Camper Vans for Seattle and the Pacific Northwest
Highland Vans builds every van at one shop in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, and has no location in Washington. Seattle buyers fly in to O’Hare for pickup, or ask for a quote on enclosed transport.
Built for rain and cold nights
The Northwest is wet more often than it is cold, and a small cabin stays damp unless the walls and the heat are right. Every build has Thinsulate in the roof and walls, XPS foam under the floor and a Webasto diesel heater to warm and dry the cabin after a day outside.
The AWD Sprinter is the one platform every model is built on, which is the right one for a forest service road in October or a mountain pass in snow.
Camper vans for sale to Seattle buyers
Every camper van for sale on this page starts from one of three Sprinter layouts, each sold as Core or Pro. As a van builder, Highland Vans builds standard layouts rather than one-off customs, and each layout is a Class B RV. The price covers the complete vehicle, including the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter it is built on.

Aoraki
The 144” layout that prioritizes a real bed and a real garage. Murphy bed, 5’+ of rear cargo space, and the easiest daily-driver footprint in the lineup.

Kinabalu
The 144” van that’s also the family car. Four belted seats, a rear dinette that converts to a day bed, and the optional TV/game console package no other model offers

Parbat
Our 170” extended off-grid rig. Interior shower cabin, dinette plus Murphy bed, and the only roof that fits AC and a rooftop tent together, with the tent as an upgrade.

From Elk Grove Village to Seattle
Many of our owners are not local. We’re in Elk Grove Village, IL — 15 minutes from O’Hare — and many buyers fly in, do a full orientation walkthrough at the shop, and drive their van home as the first road trip. Prefer it brought to you? We can also arrange enclosed transport nationwide — ask for a quote.
The drive home crosses the northern states: Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, Montana and Idaho, then over the Cascades into Seattle. It passes the Badlands and the edge of Yellowstone country, so the drive home is a trip of its own.
Trips from Seattle
The Olympic Peninsula, the North Cascades and Mount Rainier are close enough for a weekend and wet enough to test a van. The Parbat is the model with a shower inside, an interior shower cabin that counts after a day on a muddy trail.
For a couple who ski, the Aoraki keeps a real garage under the bed for skis and boots, and the heater has the cabin warm before the drive back down the pass.
Questions from Seattle buyers
How does the van cope with a wet Northwest winter?
The insulation and the heater are the same on every build: Thinsulate in the roof and walls, rigid XPS foam under the floor, and a Webasto diesel heater as standard. Heat is what keeps condensation down in a closed cabin, and the diesel heater runs without shore power.
Is there a Highland Vans showroom in Seattle?
No. There is one shop, in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, 15 minutes from O’Hare, and every van is designed, built and handed over there.
Can I see a van before I travel?
Start with a conversation on the contact page: an e-mail, a video call, or a visit to the shop. A video call covers the layouts, the options and the price before you book a flight, and the facility tour and the design centre visit are there when you come in.
Do I have to come back to Chicago for warranty work?
Not necessarily. Call us first: for covered repairs away from Chicago, we’ll pre-authorize a certified RV technician or marine electrician near you and pay for the approved work directly — no paying out of pocket and waiting on reimbursement. Because we build with open-architecture, standardized components, local techs can handle most jobs.
How long does a build take?
Two answers. If a van in our inventory matches the spec you want, it’s available for immediate purchase — ask what’s on the floor right now. If not, a typical build takes about three months from reserving your build slot, and we’ll confirm your delivery window when you reserve. Either way, because we build standard layouts rather than one-off customs, you’re not waiting in a year-long custom queue.
Does the price include the van itself?
Yes. Pricing on this page covers the complete vehicle — the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter high-roof chassis and the full Highland Vans conversion. The only things not included are tax, title, registration, and any add-ons you select. (Already own a Sprinter? We quote those conversions individually — see “Can you convert a van I already own?”)
